Required Admission Tests
The GRE and TOEFL tests are offered in Iran, however the SAT and GMAT tests are not currently available. Iranians can register for testing in neighboring countries, though travel indicates an additional expense for prospective students. For male students at or above age 18, it is possible to travel outside the country only if they have fulfilled the compulsory military service or are under student status (registered in school or have an I-20). If they do have student status, they are able to obtain a passport, but are required to pay a significant fee which is reimbursed upon their return to Iran.
